How can we compare fractions??

#1 think about do we have more candy bars or people

1/3 or 2/3 1 candy bar for 3 people or 2 candy bars for 3 people??

2 candy bars for 3 people is greater because each person would get a bigger piece.

#2 is my fraction more or less than 1/2?

1/4 or 6/10 I know 5/10= 1/2

I know 2/4=1/2

1/4 is less than 1/2

6/10 is more than 1/2

6/10 must be greater

#3 is my fraction closer to 1 whole or closer to zero?

1/8 or 9/10 I know 9/10 is very close to 10/10

10/10= 1 whole

I know 1/8 is very close to zero

9/10 must be greater
